Arrow Escape is designed to be a local-first application, meaning that the majority of your data stays on your device. Arrow Escape is designed so you can enjoy directional arrow puzzles and daily challenges without creating an account or providing personal details. We collect limited information to provide our service:
- Gameplay & Progress Data: Current level, completed puzzle stages, puzzle grid states, daily challenge progress, streak records, undo history, booster inventory (Undo, Direction Guide Lines, Magic Wand, Hint), and sound/music/vibration preferences are stored locally on your device's private storage.
- Analytics & Gameplay Metrics: Aggregated, pseudonymized gameplay events (such as level completions, challenge attempts, and feature interactions) collected via Google Analytics for Firebase to analyze gameplay balance, retention, and improve future puzzle design.
- Technical & Diagnostic Data: Device hardware model, operating system version, and anonymized performance/crash logs via Firebase Crashlytics used for debugging, stability, and performance optimization.
- Purchase Information: Arrow Escape Premium subscriptions and in-app upgrades are processed exclusively by Google Play Billing. We do not receive, collect, or store your payment card numbers or banking credentials; we only receive cryptographically signed purchase confirmation tokens from Google Play.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used strictly for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: Enabling the core gameplay of solving directional arrow puzzles, advancing through levels, and maintaining your in-game booster inventory.
- In-App Purchases: Fulfilling purchased booster items and activating Arrow Escape Premium benefits (such as 3 Boosters Per Level and No Surprise Ads).
- Analytics & Game Balancing: Evaluating puzzle difficulty curves, level completion rates, and player engagement to continually refine levels and introduce smoother game progression.
- App Stability & Improvement: Analyzing anonymized crash logs to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects for a smooth 60+ FPS gameplay experience.
- Monetization: Displaying non-intrusive interstitial and optional rewarded advertisements to keep the game free to play. Arrow Escape does not display banner advertisements.
4. Permissions and Their Usage
The App requests only the minimum Android permissions strictly necessary to operate:
- Google Play Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING): Required to process in-app purchases and manage Premium subscriptions through Google Play.
- Internet & Network State: Required to display advertisements, verify purchases with Google Play, collect anonymous analytics via Google Analytics for Firebase, and send anonymous crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics.
- Vibration: Used to provide subtle tactile haptic feedback during arrow taps, collisions, and booster activations.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Optional permission used to deliver daily challenge reminders. Can be disabled at any time in system settings.
- No Sensitive Permissions: Arrow Escape does not request access to your Camera, Microphone, Contacts, Location/GPS, Storage, or Photos.
5. Advertisements & Consent
To support continuous development, Arrow Escape integrates third-party advertisements in full compliance with Google Play policies:
- Google AdMob: Serves interstitial and rewarded video ads. AdMob may utilize your resettable Google Advertising ID in accordance with Google's privacy policies. You can reset or delete this identifier at any time in your Android device's Settings > Google > Ads.
- User Consent (UMP / GDPR): For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK, consent choices for personalized vs. non-personalized advertising are managed through the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK.
- Optional Rewarded Ads: Watching rewarded video ads is entirely optional and initiated by the player to earn extra lives, timer extensions, hints, or magic wand activations.
- Ad-Free Experience: Players can permanently remove non-rewarded advertisements by subscribing to Arrow Escape Premium.
6. Data Storage and Security
All game progression, level records, and user preferences are stored locally on your device's internal storage, protected by Android's application sandboxing. Network communications with Google services (Google Play, AdMob, Firebase) are encrypted in transit using standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). Cleartext HTTP traffic is completely disabled across the application.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Since data is stored locally, it is retained for as long as the App remains installed on your device. You have complete autonomy over your data:
- Clear Application Data: You can permanently erase all level progression, high scores, and settings at any time by clearing the App's storage via Android Settings > Apps > Arrow Escape > Storage > Clear Data.
- Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling Arrow Escape immediately removes the application and permanently deletes all locally stored game files.
- Support Communications: If you contact our developer support via email, your correspondence is used strictly to assist you and will be deleted upon request.
8. Children's Privacy
Arrow Escape is a family-friendly directional arrow puzzle game suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or store personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).
